PhD research: Circularity by Design, Materials and AM

3D Printer and applications (Products)

Overview

This open-source product repository collects the experimental systems, application models, and physical samples developed throughout the doctoral research work, bringing together: the second modified version of the pellet-extruder for the Hangprinter, an open-source cable-driven large-format 3D printer 1 ; demonstrative applications from the RepMat Library 2 ; demo products of the FiberEUse Library 3 ; and selected components and samples used within the exploration of these materials libraries. It includes 3D models and parts that have supported investigations into recycled and circular materials, showing how open-source hardware, distributed manufacturing, and material libraries can enable circular economy practices. 4
