3D Printed PC Stained Glass for Energy Efficiency
Application repository (Customized window retrofit)
Application repository (Customized window retrofit)
This open-source product collection presents the simulation datasets, test geometries, and window-scale prototypes developed to analyze the energy efficiency and economic saving of 3D-printed polycarbonate stained-glass alternatives for architectural window retrofits. It includes the pattern designs, 3D models, 3D printed parts, simulations, and economic analysis of this application in different geographical and socio-economic contexts. These elements provide experimental validation of the approach at real-world scales, showing how customizable 3D-printed polycarbonate window retrofits can support more energy-efficient and affordable solutions for buildings compared with conventional glazing. 1
